Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas. It was totally crazy and busy but somehow we managed to see everybody that day. We have been so spoiled by our families! We got some much needed things and some fun things to go with it!
Yes, that's right! That is the Mountain View Blueberry dress! My Dad likes to dress up on Christmas Eve so as a joke my sisters and I wore old choir dresses. We practically begged Kasey to participate. Miraculously she squeezed into her 10th grade choir dress. I wore Kelli's 9th grade dress from Kino, and Kelli is sporting the Mountain View Encore dress. Mine was definitely the most hideous.

I sewed an apron for Kristen this year and got really proud of myself. Didn't it turn out cute! You know it's a good gift when you want to keep it for yourself!

Eventful Happenings

We've had some wonderful things happening lately. Our only nephew Grant turned one and he is sooooo cute! We are so excited Will has a boy cousin so close in age. Right now Will pushes and screams at him but we hope that won't last too much longer!
Will and I spent a week in Mesa with family and friends. We were so busy and now don't even know what we did all week! Will looked great for Christmas Sunday. We finally got to wear his suite (thanks to Grandma Sandy) The only thing missing was David and little more time doing nothing at Kelli's house.

One of the highlights of this Mesa trip was having Hermana Guthrie come home. It was so fun to see her and wish her the best for all the stuff she now has going on. She was an awesome missionary! The only thing I regret was not hearing her speak Spanish! What was I thinking! I guess I'll just have to call her. Love you Em!

The 3 Best Years

David and I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary yesterday. Since it was Sunday the best way we knew how to have a party was to completely pig out. We started with the egg casserole, went through the eggnog and martinellis, and finished off the day with cinnamon rolls. Our friends are babysitting on Tuesday so we can go out to dinner and stuff ourselves even more! Thank goodness we did the P90X on Saturday!

My wedding dress still fits like a glove and Will enjoyed climbing all over it. We watched our wedding video and of course I totally started crying. I couldn't get over how handsome my husband looked that day. I always tease him that he had the googly eyes all day long. I love you David! Happy Anniversary!

Christmas at the Kolstads

We have been enjoying this Holiday Season! The other night we went to Yuma's Annual Light parade with a friend and Will LOVED it! He was mesmerized by the lights and animals! Thanks goodness he is over his parade fears! (You know what I mean Kelli) And see, Yuma does have some great things!

Also , my sweet husband knows what a love I have for Egg Nogg. I think it's a Bodine thing. My mom still buys it in the gallon! Gotta love that woman. So, David surprised me for our anniversary at got some, hid it in the fridge, and snuck it in my cup. What an outstanding husband, I know! Will got to sample some and never had enjoyed his sippee cup so much!

Millett Family

Isn't this the cutest girl you've ever seen? And I didn't even have to edit it! Oh Rebel you are my one true love! My nieces were so adorable when I took their pictures! My sister Kelli had the coolest outfits going! Too fun!

Ty and Steph

I got to take some pics of Ty, Steph, and Grant! Oh how I LOVE my camera! How fun are these and there were so many more to choose from! Thanks for letting me practice fam! Love you guys! I think this is the first time Grant ever looks like Ty!

Thanksgiving 2009

Between food poisoning, huge piles of laundry, and cleaning I'm finally reporting on our fabulous Thanksgiving weekend. We got to spend it with lots of family and friends. Will had a wonderful time running a muck in Grandma's house all week and I enjoyed having someone to hang out with during the day. The only thing that made our trip better was when David arrived on the weekend. David wasted no time starting the Christmas celebration when we got home. He very unsafely put up our lights and thank goodness he didn't fall off the roof. For some reason David starts getting excited and ends up putting them up during the night. What a fun crazy guy.
We took Will to the temple lights and he loved it! He also enjoyed riding on his Uncle Micah. it was totally crowded but it was fun to see Will have such a great time.

Once again the Kolstads did well at the annual Bodine pie contest. We still think Davids score for his pie was totaled wrong because his obviously was the best. Our blueberry pie did place though. I shamefully had some major accidents on my personal pie, but in the end it actually tasted good! Ty and Step took home the coveted "Best Pie of the Night" but we are coming after you guys next year so watch out!

My family usually plays croquet on Thanksgiving and Easter. Will enjoyed pulling out all the wickets and throwing the balls. It was fun to have Tyler Klien participate this time-he is quite competitive.

My mom had to go with the buffet this year. Not nearly as "nice" but definitely more practical. She cooked for two days and I was glad to be around for the left overs!
