The Book of Mormon
In efforts to keep up with one of my Young Woman, I've been trying to read the Book of Mormon like a crazy person. Lately I've noticed, yet again, a pattern. When societies follow God and obey his commandments-they are protected. When they don't-destruction. It's very clear. With so much happening in our country, world, and society-it becomes more clear every day that we are living in the last days. This week the Supreme Court voted that gay marriage is legal. I just think this opened a HUGE can of worms! I'm just feeling so sad for the pattern of our society, very divided, everyone is pointing fingers, choosing sides. Our government is mess, the family unit is devalued, marriage is becoming less and less popular (well at least between a woman and man!)it's just crazy. It just makes me wonder, how I will protect my children from the influence of Satan. Good questions! Look to God in all things, in every thought, in every action-and you will find protection.
Summer Continues!
We have not had a dull moment so far this summer! Lot of friends and counsins make it loads of fun. Here is baby J who just turned 1. He is modeling our sister tie dye we did last week for all the kids. He loves me
My parents got rained out when they took the boys camping a few weeks ago. Mom was just dying to try out her new tent trailer. The boys-I think-had a blast regardless of the rain.

We went to Stephs and did the splash pad. Grant and Allie majorly crashed and we had to call it early, but no stitches thankfully. We had Annie all day with us too. Just like Will is part of Kelli's family, Annie is part of ours. It's Auntie love!
I had a free Friday night and really needed an outing, so I took the kids to the mall. We rode the Carousel and played in the play area. It was a pricey adventure but we had fun.

Of course a huge highlight of this summer is William doing swim team. We competed against the Kino Krawdads last week. Will and Jane both got a 3rd place ribbon. I think Will is more excited about getting colorful ribbons than anything else.
Aunt Kristen bought the kids new outfits and took them to the movies yesterday. I took a LOVELY nap! How nice. Every family needs an Aunt Kristen!

Summer has begun!
Finally summer has hit, and oh how I've been looking forward to this! School ended, girls camp is over, and now I can breathe a little bit. We watched Jonathan and Jacob for a few days while Kelli was in Hawaii-let's just say another rough spend the night with a sister's baby. Poor guy was sick the whole time they were gone. I think I need to make a 2 year old spend the night rule. I totally had a break down after I passed the baby off, not sure if I could have another baby anymore. Jacob and William had an awesome time though! William started swim team, it's a little tough for him but he says he is starting to enjoy it. I finally got in the pool, cold at first but I'll manage. Allison is a fish all of the sudden! She will be swimming this year for sure. Holly barely gets in but we will fix that. My parents just took the grandsons camping in their new trailer and got rained out the whole time, the boys had fun but I think the grandparents might have been a little grumpy. I started piano and my babysitting gig this summer. But I've also had a little time to visit Grandma Erma, go the the library, and go the the grocery store.
My third girls camp as YW pres and it was perfect as it could be. Our girls and leaders are so wonderful in everyway. Embark! I still have to make the video and clean out the car, but other than that it's over-and it was wonderful. Dave even had a little fun in Show Low with the kids. The best part of all is that I came home to an empty house!!!! It was complete bliss! They didn't come home till Sunday afternoon and I was so grateful! I took a nap, showered, unpacked a little, watched a movie, cooked, ran errands. Seriously-I can be really productive when the kids are gone! Dave apoloagized for leaving a messy house, but it was fine with me because I had some peace and alone time! It's taken me a week to catch up on the sleep I lost!
