The Sights of Yuma

Before it shuts down, I thought it would be fun to go to Yuma's Territorial Prison-the first prison in Arizona. I actually remember going there when I was a little girl and seeing my Dad so excited that we got to go into the cells. Will had a great time running all over the place, my Dad disappeared deep in history for a while, and the rest of us I think enjoyed getting out of the house. Thanks for the fun outing Mom and Dad.

Since my long boarding skill are terrible this is how I have fun!

Kasey and TK

Kell having some much needed bonding time with Scout.

About once a year my family goes down to Indian Bend Wash to ride bikes and have a fun day together. Dave and I happened to be in town and we were so glad! We had a great time and stayed for a really long time. I was sooooo pooooped out at the end of the day. Everybody brought their bikes, blankets, food, and in Kasey's case her puppy. Kelli organized it and called it my birthday party. She brought delicious lemon butter cream cupcakes. I haven't had such a wonderful birthday in a long time! For family history's sake we do have to mention mom's wheel chair! We will spare her embarrassment by sparing the details.

Hermana Stevens

My best friend Lacey came home from her mission and it was the best birthday ever! I had a gross cold that day but doesn't she look so great! She gave a wonderful report and has such a strong testimony of the gospel and the work she did on her mission. I hope to see her again in a few weeks! It was really fun to see her family and talk to her for a few minutes! Love ya Lace!

Happy Birthdays!

David and I just celebrated our birthdays and I think we are starting to feel like we aren't young and beautiful anymore. Once again we were extremely spoiled by our families and friends! Thanks everybody! By far the best gift for David's birthday was Kristen. She came to Yuma and completely surprised Dave when she picked him up from work. She then took us to dinner at Tx Roadhouse, and Will actually let her hold him!
I made an apple crisp for Dave but put a damper on it by melting all of the candles into it. And I mean ALL the candles! Oh well! At least it tasted good after picking out the huge chunks of wax!

I had a cold the weekend of my birthday and looked like death, but doesn't this cake look delicious! With the careful guidance of my mother Dave mastered the German Chocolate cake! What an act of love, and it was just as good as my mom's! I had three days of a birthday party in Mesa with family and friends! It was a ball!! I still can't over what a great weekend we had!
