February-Month of Love

 David has been so cute when we watch our baby nieces. Olive went right to him the other day! And we got to have Myla the other day as well-I just love being an Auntie to these two babies and it's fun to have a baby around for few hours.

For Presidents Day we rode our bikes to IHOP. The kids enjoyed this much more than a hike. 

David and I took Will out of school to take him to do baptisms. It was a special morning with a special feeling. It was fun to witness my two boys in the fount.

I asked David on a date for Valentines and then decided to invite the kids also. We recreated our first date together. We went to the same In-n-Out Burger and then went ice skating at the same ice rink. We had a BLAST! We were worried about the kids first time on any type of skates-and there were some tears along the way-but they did good and we all had so much fun. We all took turns having David pull us around. It was a great way to celebrate Valentines.

We had a mother son's weekend. David took the girls on a Daddy Daughter with friends Owen and Harper. On Thursday night Will had a long mutual, so I spent the evening watching a chick flick and got take out-it was lovely. Then William and I spent some time together, we went to a carnival with the Milletts, the orthodonists, watched a Mavel movie, went to movies and saw Dr. Doolittle (we both were the only people in the movies cracking up) and ate out. I love being with my boy. The girls started throwing up on their camping trip and came home Saturday-I had to kick it into mom mode again. But Will said to me "Mom, this is the BEST weekend I have EVER had." and it was really nice. 

While I was scoring mom points with Will, David scored major Dad points with the girls. Except for the part where everyone got sick-they had a blast dessert camping near Superior. 

Trellany's birthday was a group workout class! It was fun! Kelli and I showed up in the same outfit again! Why does this happen all the time!

January 2020! New Year!

I do love a new year. I just feel the possibilities int he air! On New Years the Bodine side did an afternoon in the dessert. David got to drive the quad and Polaris-he clearly had his face light up the whole time. Allison and Holly were pretty hesitant but somehow they let me and Aunt Trell drive them a little bit.

Us girls went to see the new Little Women-fun night. 

We had our annual hiking club for my birthday. We think it's so funny that our hiking club only meets once a year. I was so glad to hike with my sisters and then eat with my sisters. They gave me funny gifts-new Cinderella gloves and a disco ball-ahh they know me so well! And I told them what to get me! We are a hoot!

And of course the birthday fun continued with Holly. She turned 8, my baby is 8! What! 

Holly is doing soccer this winter and loves it!

Grandma Sandy had her 70th birthday! The kids put together a surprise party for her at a restaurant. She was totally surprised. 

New Phase

We officially are starting a new phase in life. William became a Deacon and we took him to do baptisms in the temple. He learned how to pass the sacrament, give a lesson in Deacons, and do fast offerings. Holly also was baptized on January 25th. These days have been so special for David and I. It just feels so wonderful to see your children do what the Savior wants them to do. These special days just make me feel so happy.

This is our Bishop. Bishop Heaton. We love him with all our hearts. He is so fun with the kids and makes everyone feel that they are so special to him. David honors and respects him deeply. He is a funny guy too and loves to kid and joke. We did their interviews on the same night.

William had the flu the day of Holly's baptism. David had it a few days before and it was bad, so he stayed home. It was sad not to have him there. I am so grateful to David who is a worthy priesthood holder and can baptize our children. Allison got to come get Holly dressed with me afterward, it was fun to have us girls all together. There was a special feeling at the baptism-I love that feeling. I was missing my mom and dad this day. 

Grandma Delynn had made Allison's baptism dress out of my wedding dress fabric. There were only  a few pieces left, but I asked Sandra to make Holly's dress. She was nervous and unsure, but it turned out sooooo beautiful and special. A few days there was a problem with the fit and you could see down into Holly's dress, so my angel neighbor Deanne Hoover did a last minute quick fix. It's gonna need a good safety pin in the back for the next girls to wear it. This is such a special dress. Holly has never looked so grown up and so beautiful. I can't believe how old she is. She is such a blessing to our home! She bring happiness where ever she goes. 

I didn't get a picture the day of William's ordination. It also was a very special day. Micah picked up Grandma Erma but his car broke down on the freeway! By some miracle they made it to the ordination, but Grandma needed to come home with me. I wasn't prepared to entertain-but she didn't seem to mind! She stayed the WHOLE day. She ate grilled cheese, did Come Follow Me, watched me fold a little laudry, and watched a church movie with us. It was a long day, but I'm glad I was able to serve my Grandma.
