Maycember

May is just as busy as December. But it's been such wonderful happening!

This was Holly and I's last Broadway Kids. We both will be moving up to the big show choirs next year. My girls were such awesome peformers!

The Kolstads played in almost every song in the orchestra concert. This was their last performance with Ms. Pillow.

Sage graduated from Mountain View. I had not been to Mountain View since Lucas' graduation. I had major nostalgia being there. I feel like crying, Sage is so grown up and so wonderful! If my girls turn out even half as great a Sage I will be thrilled. She's smart, kind, hardworking, has a strong testimony and serves others. I just loved celebrating with her. I brought a feather boa and put it around her neck. We were laughing becuase other kids wore things to show their heritage-polyneisian, Native American, Mexican-her legacy is the boa!

Will's team won their championship game! It's been so great watching this kid play volleyball and he's getting pretty good at it!

Another school year over and these kids of mine are growing up and time is marching on. It's good and bad, fun to see them grow-sad to see them grow. Now we are begining the summer of chores. I've decided I'm done doing everything by myself. The girls are learning their laundry and everyone has to do daily chores. I have high hope but we'll see right?

River Rats

We have been using our paddleboards alot and having a great time doing so!

April

We went to the zoo with the Bodines and Grandparents. Baby Jay almost got his eye poked out by a giant bird!

When the boys went to Father's and Son's us girls went out and got pedicures and dinner.

We had  a BIG change this month. David has been put in as the 1st counselor int he Bishopric. To say we were suprised would be an under statment. Because of David's work, he hasn't been to church regularly in well-10 years. And he's especially been gone on Sundays the past 3 years. He's overwhelmed. And as I'm writing this, it's been a month and he still is overwhelmed. It's a lot to go from-hardly coming to church to Bishopric. But we both feel like it will work out somehow. We actually feel ok with this change and know the Lord will bless our family-and David as he serves. It's going to add a new dynamic to our marriage as he is my counselor over the Primary. We will see how that goes! David's mom was just BEAMING with pride and said she was just waiting for this day to happen. (kinda funny but Ok) and my parents were so proud of David also. He will be serving with Will in the teachers quorum even more now, and it will be nice to at least see him from the stand on Sundays.

Dave's caught on to the paddle board craze. We now have purchased 3 of them-a little much all at once but he's been loving it.

The girls and Jacob made distric orchestra this year. Allison made 1st violin and Holly made 1st chair. I was so proud watching them make wonderful music at the arts center.

Easter Pageant

Dreams do come true. I have alwasy wanted to be in the Easter Pageant. I've had 2 failed solo auditions and 1 failed family audition a few years back. I asked the kids to do it with me-and they all were very hesitant. They were pretty hard getting them to make a good audition video. David flat out said no.

But-we got in as a family. It was an increbile experience. We were up late, rushing around, super tired-but also so filled! The Spirit was felt every night of pageant. The focus was Christ for almost a whole month for me. It was truly special.

We sat in the perfect spot bakcstage. We could see that angels every night as they danced to "Glory to God" at the birth of Christ. And every nnight we watched up close the Garden of Gethsemane. Just to sit a listen, and watch brought such a peace and love.

By some stoke of luck, Holly was chosen to get healed by Christ for a few moments during one scene. Every night when she hugged her "Dad" (Bro. Turner) she would look back at me and smile. Although it was acting, it was very special to pretend for just moment to see my daughter who was suffering quickly be healed by the Savior. I hope she can always remember this special feeling.

William wasn't so happy to be in pageant. Going nightly was a struggle, but after some talks and bribes-he made it through.

Elder Rasband came and spoke to us one night. He taught us to be special witnesses of Christ at all times, all places, and in every circumstance. He invited us to join him in testifing of Christ

Devotionals happen every time we met for pageant. The most BEAUTFUL musical numbers I've ever heard in the church. We also made wonderful friends in our family and with other cast members.
The girls love running around backstage. The pageant directors asked that we could find a baby lamb for the pageant-and the next night there was 2. We were all obsessed. They were sooooo soft and sweet. My kids made sure to give them love every night.

Take out every night-I seriously didn't cook for almost a month. The kids loved it. I was nessecary to survive during this busy month.

Spring Break

We had an awesome Spring Break in San Diego. This was our attempt at family pictures-NEVER again will we try this on our own-I'm always going to hire a photographer

Will just loves the beach-he could spend every minute here. It was a little chilly but it didn't stop the kids from having a blast.

Old Town eats

We hadn't don't done the Mormon Battalion in a while, and Will got to be the soldjer.

Not Not Tacos

We wanted pizza at the hotel one night-and so I found this! The biggest pizza we have ever seen!

Sea World with the Kleins. The day was too short. The girls loved hanging with their cousins. When Olive wasn't throwing a fit she loved seeing the animals. We even got Allie to ride the roller coaster and we all loved it.

Last time Kasey and I were in Sea World she wore my new hat and got it soaked. I was so mad at her becuase it lost its shape and I had spent my own money. Thankfully no fights this time around!

I took the girls to a show at the Hale Theater-always a fun date night with them.

Nerd Day at School-let's just say they didn't have to act.

David's first day as a Nurse Practioner. So proud of him, so happy.
Right when we got back from San Diego Kristen and Kim took Will and David to the Imagine Dragons Concert. This was Will's first concert.

Tombstone Trip

David said he'd like to see Tombstone AZ so we made it happen! It was the firs time since our big trip that we used the trailer.

Allison had a very hard time at the Ostrich Farm. She LOVED the animals but was TERRIFIED to feed anything. This moment of feeding the donkey was a victory for her. David stayed with her a HOUR at the end helping her pet the manta ray-which she finally did. We hoped she learned to tried something new and not be so afraid. I was proud of her.

These 2 did the dave tour at Kartchner Daversn while Allie and I took a hike. The loved it but were very sweaty.

The best part of the ostrich farm was the lorakeets. The landed right on you the second you walked in! Especially if you had nectar. Will got pooped on!

2022! Jan and Feb

The begining of this year was jammed packed!

I organized a little trip with my friends from high school. It was absolutly wonderful! I want to do it again!

Ah the sad Disneyland tail. For my birthday I got all the sisters to go to Disneyland! I was feeling kinda tired the morning we left, and by 9 at night I was crying with a fever. Mom took me to to get Covid testing, and the lady said it was the most positive test she has ever seen. So I stayed in the hotel trying not to spread germs, the girls did only 1 day at Disney and we went home. I was bummed, totally bummed. Kasey got Covid from me 2 days later.

Andrew got baptized on my actual birthday. I told him it was the best gift he could have given me!

My baby is 10. She requested Red Robin for dinner.

Matilda. Wow! An incredible show! It was just wonderful. Many late nights, tired kids, and busy days-but it was so fun. Will got to play the comic relief. The girls were the cutest school girls I ever saw.

We've been going to Sage and Faith's orchestra concerts-they are excellent and we very much enjoy going!

New Years Eve with these turkeys. Played games and got icecream-went to bed by 10. Will got to stay up with Rayder till 1am though.
