So Many Fun Things

Dave had the great idea to take the girls to the Lindsay Sterling concert. Kind of their 1st real concert. It was incredible! We all loved it!

First orchestra concert of the year. Both girls are 1st chair in their section.

I took a quick trip to Payson with some of the girls. Audrey has been having some major health issues lately and this was the 1st time Kasey could manage to get away. We hiked, crafted, and ate.

Will has been doing Molton Volleyball club again this fall. He's rocking i! He's a middle and blocks at the net. It's been super busy. He literally is gone every night and has tournaments on Saturday. I love getting to watch him play. There are great boys on his team and they all get along. His coach has taught him alot.

Holly going to Stake Teen Scene.

Grandma Erma turned 104. We still can't believe she is alive.

Halloween is looking different lately. Each of the kids went out with their friends. I was home alone!

Sage turned 21 and is offically legal.

Allie got her braces off! Yeah! There was many many tears over the past 2 years-but look at her beautfiul smile now.

Dave got released from the Bishopric. How we love Bishop Kent and Matt Hulse. It's been hard but good.

I took a trip to see Will play in his Molton Utah Tournament. I stayed with Emily and she took me to the BYU game. And we make it to the Provo City Center temple as well.  I think this was my first completly solo trip with a rental car. I drove in the snow even!

I loved watching the boys play. This was Will's first airplane ride. He was exhasted as it was about 28 hours non stop for him.

Holly's cello recial. She was very grumpy and tells me everyday how much she hates cello. Alas, I make her continue and she did a good job on her recital song. She is a gifted muscian and so I feel she must keep going. At least she loves her teacher.

Wicked-Part 1. The night before Thanksgivng we all went together. Us Kolstad girls were in tears. I just couldn't hold them back at the end of Defying Gravity. It was a fantastic movie and now my girls are OBSESSED.

Camping for Turning 14

We took a little camping trip to Lake Mary with a few family members over Allie's 14th birthday. She was a trooper. In Flagstaff one day-I begged Dave to pay the street man to hold the Mcaws, Will and I were the only brave one.

She is the most wonderful girl. She has such a happy spirit inside of her. She is goofy, energectic, caring, and is a joy. We love our sweet Allie girls.

Stay off the Roads

Will had a great 16th birthday. Dave took him on a Jet Ski trip to Catalina Island where they jet skied with the Dophins all day.

I was teaching piano lessons, so Dave got to honor of going to the DMV with Will to get his license. He passed with flying colors and immediatly took off on his own.

Birthday breakfast!

Always sharing a birthday with Faith. Root beer cake at Bodine dinner.
Will is such a great teenager. He is funny, helpful, caring, hardworking (when he wants to be), want to do what is right, and just gets along with everyone. He is such a great kid and I love him. With him turning 16th, he just is really growing up.

Back to School

Allie is 8th grade at Taylor

Holly starting Taylor in 7th grade. Grateful to have an older sister to show her the ropes.

Will in 10th grade at Mesa High-and driving himself there!

Temple trip

Allies dreams came true. Kasey couldn't use her Hamilton tickets so we got them for cheap last minute. We loved every second. This was Allie's first Broadway show and she is obsessed-she has listened "Non Stop" and knows every word now.

1st place at the Bodine Photo constest. We had like only 1 good rain this summer, so I tried to capture it.

Yellowstone Trip

Wow what a trip! As soon as everyone got home from Youth Conference and Girls Camp, we headed up to Island Park Idaho for the Bodine family trip. Mom planned every detail out perfectly. It was definitley a full house that's for sure. We had lip sync battle, game night, magic show, ate good meals together, and went to the playhouse one night. We hiked, floated on the snake river, and saw every inch of Yellowstone. We got icecream in every place we stopped-a refreshing treat.

So much driving, all day, every day. Dave was the road warrior for sure. Kindly, I let the kids roate into the frout sometimes out of the kindness of my heart. Allie and Holly got sick once on the raod to Colorado-but did great other than that!

Hike with the nieces.
When Dave went fishing all day, the girl cousins and us went hourse back riding. Allie's horse took off rougue through some sticks, but other than that, a great time.

Yellowstone, a very special and unique place. We saw it all! All the wild life, all the geysers, and the waterfalls-everything.
Cold dip with Aunt Kendra.

We were driving home on Father's Day-but we gave soda toasts at the gas station to celebrate Dave.
Will got to drive a little bit and get his first highway experience, he did great.  He drove us into Tetons.
Jenny Lake at the Tetons. Where in famous tail of the Moose happened, Dave hiked us right inbetween 2 male Moose after he mocked hikers for getting too close to the moose. I was scared half to death

And the onto, Flaming Gorge Utah. A quiet part of the trip and fun to be on the lake.

Telluride and Ouray Colorado.

Our kids handled all the driving really well, mostly becuase they all watched movies. We saw incredible things and it was nice not to live normal life. Although grump teens, I think they secretly had a fun time.
