Good Eats!

My dear friend, neighbor, William watcher, and secretary taught me how to make empenadas the other day. David my husband was delighted. Of course when I tried it on my own they didn't turn out as well! Aren't they pretty! I need her to teach me something else because she is a wonderful cook!

Birthday Continued!

A few days after my birthday someone knocked on my door-and it was the Millett Family! I was so surprised and my very normal weekend turned into a wonderful weekend! We never have enough time to do all the things we want but of course we squeezed in the castle park, movies, and of course a lot of good eats! We had such blast with the Milletts and felt so special that they made the trek to Yuma just to see us! My dear sister got NEGATIVE amount of sleep so that made us feel even more special that she would come to see us! Love you all!

27 years

I had such a wonderful birthday! David took the day off and the best part was just being with my family! We went to the movies and a big party for a friend. To top things off we took down the homemade German Chocolate Cake in 3 days! It was disgusting but oh so good!

4 Months of Joy!

Here are a couple of Allie's 4month pictures! I just think she is the most gorgeous baby I've ever seen! She is such an angel and I love having her in our family! I hope she stays just as sweet forever! We love our Allison Whitney!

Kelli, the Hostest with the Mostest!

My sister was quite the hostest to the Kolstads during our time in Mesa. Not only did she take us to the Train Park, the Zoo, and throw a cousins party-she did it all with a new born baby and three other children! Mom would be proud Kelli!

New Year's Eve

I was so glad this New Year's Eve to spend a few minutes with my friends . (sorry we missed you Coonsie!) I haven't seen Emily since I think her wedding and now she has the cutest baby boy ever! Of course I'd never miss a chance to see Lace either who is also the most amazing person to me! Love these 2! I can't wait till we all live in the same place at the same time again! (Lace that means you better not move and Matthew needs to get that Mesa job!) Viva Enrique!
Unfortunately our New Year's Eve party was spent in the emergency room with a screaming thrashing 2 year old! Emergency Room-thy name is William! It was quite eventful but all is well! This makes 3 ER visits in 6 months, just call us a world record! And of course David was not with us all three times. Will goes crazy at Dr.s and hospitals so bad they had to sedate him which gave us (meaning the nurses and myself) about a 30 minute cool down time. Too bad Grandpa got there when the sedation was over! Thanks for celebrating New Years with us Dad!

Christmas Day 2010

Look how precious my little girl is in Sage's old pj's! We had a wonderful Christmas! Our family is so generous to us! And of course we started it out on the right foot by having the egg casserole I made. We spent a good chunk of the day in Queen Creek with David's family and the only bad part of the day was that I didn't get a peaceful nap (which I always desire on Christmas Day but somehow manage never to get.) But I was with my Davy and kiddos a little bit so I have no reason to complain!

Thanks to a little angel, Santa came to William this year. Unfortunately he didn't quite understand that opening presents is a fun thing! Pretty much he quit as soon as he opened a car! David and I had to open the rest.

Christmas Eve 2010

While we prayed that David would make it safely to Mesa, we celebrated Christmas Eve with the Bodines. It was the first time all the grandkids were in the same place at the same time! Crazy! But there was great food, company, and entertainment! I think I ruined this family photo by forgetting my shoes!

Will recently discovered the joys of fireworks (thanks to Grandpa Butch.Leave it to my Dad to bust out the fire and then teach the grandkids!) Aunt Kasey helped him hold his sparkler and by the time we ran out, he decided they were fun and he wanted more.

One part of our Christmas Eve rituals involves the musical stylings of all in attendance. The highlight by far this year was Tyler Klien and his "music maker." he blew us away! Loved it!
