Since David had to work over Thanksgiving weekend we decided to stay in Yuma. My parents and Micah came down to join us and it was so great having them around! This was my first Thanksgiving in our own home, my first time cooking a turkey, and David's first time carving one. I thought I did it perfect until my Mother pulled it out of the oven and pointed out to me that I forgot to take all the guts out! Oh well! It was my first time right? I got to bust out my china and also made a huge bowl of cranberry salad which was gone in 2 days (due to my father-gotta love that man! he knows what the best part of Thanksgiving really is!)
It was so nice having family around to help with the kids. We all got to go the movies multiple times, took naps, and even made it to
Algadones Mexico. (it's only about 15 minutes away) Uncle Micah I think went every day to the movies! Thanks for spending Thanksgiving with us!

haha That is hilarious. I remember my first turkey. I didn't know there was guts either, but I got told before it went in the oven. SO gross. But delicious in the end. ;)
