Easter Pageant

Dreams do come true. I have alwasy wanted to be in the Easter Pageant. I've had 2 failed solo auditions and 1 failed family audition a few years back. I asked the kids to do it with me-and they all were very hesitant. They were pretty hard getting them to make a good audition video. David flat out said no.

But-we got in as a family. It was an increbile experience. We were up late, rushing around, super tired-but also so filled! The Spirit was felt every night of pageant. The focus was Christ for almost a whole month for me. It was truly special.

We sat in the perfect spot bakcstage. We could see that angels every night as they danced to "Glory to God" at the birth of Christ. And every nnight we watched up close the Garden of Gethsemane. Just to sit a listen, and watch brought such a peace and love.

By some stoke of luck, Holly was chosen to get healed by Christ for a few moments during one scene. Every night when she hugged her "Dad" (Bro. Turner) she would look back at me and smile. Although it was acting, it was very special to pretend for just moment to see my daughter who was suffering quickly be healed by the Savior. I hope she can always remember this special feeling.

William wasn't so happy to be in pageant. Going nightly was a struggle, but after some talks and bribes-he made it through.

Elder Rasband came and spoke to us one night. He taught us to be special witnesses of Christ at all times, all places, and in every circumstance. He invited us to join him in testifing of Christ

Devotionals happen every time we met for pageant. The most BEAUTFUL musical numbers I've ever heard in the church. We also made wonderful friends in our family and with other cast members.
The girls love running around backstage. The pageant directors asked that we could find a baby lamb for the pageant-and the next night there was 2. We were all obsessed. They were sooooo soft and sweet. My kids made sure to give them love every night.

Take out every night-I seriously didn't cook for almost a month. The kids loved it. I was nessecary to survive during this busy month.
